Holy Basil Tea

These teas are available in tea bags and cannisters with loose leaf tea. The tulsi is grown organically near the holy city of Benares and all the spices and other herbs blended with the tea are organic. The teas are aromatic and delicious. There are three types of holy basil in each blend: Rama, Krishna, and Vana.

Tulsi Tea, 5 oz.

Holy basil is one of the premier herbs of the Ayurvedic pharmacopoeia. It is a major rasayana herb and a valuable nervine. Together with gotu kola, this tea is calming and gently detoxifying. It acts specifically on the brain and nervous system, but with the addition of lemongrass and ginger, this tea also aids digestion. The flavor is greatly enhanced by the zesty additions that have carminative properties. When formulating this tea, we knew what we had to do to create something superb! Try it warm a few hours before bedtime or on ice during summer days. Use the leftover as a hair rinse! All the ingredients of this tea are 100% organic.

Contains: organic Rama Tulsi, Ocimum sanctum, aerial parts, organic Gotu Kola, Centella asiatica aerial parts, organic Lemongrass, Cymbopogon citratus aerial parts, and organic Ginger, Zingiber officinalis rhizome.
