Herbs for Children

Glycerites are fluid herbal extracts using glycerin as both the solvent and preservative. Studies indicate that the shelf life of glycerites is at least four years, meaning that within that length of time, the health value of the herb is preserved and there is no microbial growth. Though the potency of the herbs is the same as with conventional alcohol extracts, glycerites are assimilated 30% more slowly than alcohol extracts and this lowers the glycemic load. They are also sweet-tasting and therefore suitable for children. Obviously, they can be used by adults as well, especially anyone who for medical or other reasons wishes to avoid alcohol. These products do not require refrigeration and they are purely vegetarian.
